Dr. Ghazala Farooqui is the Founder and Medical Director of GT Aesthetic & Functional Medicine. A triple board-certified physician with more than 20 years of clinical experience, she offers a highly personalized, concierge-level approach to aesthetic and functional medicine. Her philosophy is rooted in precision, discretion, and an unwavering commitment to enhancing the body’s intrinsic capacity for renewal and longevity. Dr. Ghazala Farooqui completed her Internal Medicine residency at Columbia University St. Luke’s Hospital (now Mount Sinai) and the University of Massachusetts. She went on to pursue fellowship training in Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the University of South Alabama, with additional research experience at Thomas Jefferson University, where she cultivated a focused interest in asthma and allergic disease.
While practicing as a Pulmonologist, Sleep Specialist, and Intensivist, Dr. Farooqui developed a deeper intellectual curiosity about the individuality of disease expression and the variability of therapeutic response. Recognizing that conventional approaches often overlook this complexity, she pursued a two-year Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona under the direct mentorship of Dr. Andrew Weil. There, she refined her understanding of how lifestyle, environment, and cellular health profoundly influence the body’s innate capacity for restoration and resilience.
With a natural inclination toward precision-based procedures, Dr. Farooqui pursued advanced training and certification in laser and radiofrequency technologies, regenerative therapies, and aesthetic medicine. She is certified in Dr. Charles Runels’ protocols and has received specialized training in facial aesthetics from internationally respected experts. Since 2018, she has thoughtfully integrated regenerative procedures with functional and integrative medicine principles to deliver refined, natural, and enduring results.
She maintains active membership in leading professional organizations, including the Institute of Functional Medicine, the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine, the Cellular Medicine Association, and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery—reflecting her ongoing commitment to excellence, advancement, and the highest standards of patient care.
